Our Candles
What are your candles made of? Every Bean candle is hand-poured with a coconut-soy wax, phthalate-free scents, essential oils and a lead-free cotton wick. No paraffin, no toxins, nothing you'd have to explain to a guest.
Are your candles vegan? Yes — our core line is 100% vegan. No animal-derived ingredients of any kind.
Are your candles cruelty-free? Yes. No animal testing, ever.
How long do your candles burn? Our 12 oz candles burn for up to 84 hours. Travel candles burn for up to 30 hours. Actual burn time varies based on wick trimming and burn conditions.
Why does my candle have a rough or uneven top? This is completely normal for natural coconut-soy wax — it's a sign of the real ingredients, not a defect. It has no effect on the scent or burn quality.
How should I care for my candle? Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn. On the first light, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar before extinguishing — this prevents tunneling and gives you the full burn time. Keep the lid on when not in use to preserve the scent. Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
Why can't I smell my candle? Bean candles are designed to scent a room — not announce themselves. If you've been in the room a while, your nose adjusts. Ask someone who just walked in. They'll notice.
Subscriptions
How does the subscription work? Choose your scent, select your delivery interval (every 4, 6, or 8 weeks), and subscribe. Your candle ships automatically on your chosen schedule and your card is charged at the time of each shipment. You save 15% on every delivery plus free shipping — no commitment required.
Can I change my scent? Yes — you can swap your scent anytime from your account portal before your next order ships.
Can I skip a delivery? Yes — log into your account, find your subscription, and skip the next delivery. No charges, no penalties.
Can I pause my subscription? Yes — pause anytime from your account. Your subscription stays active and ready to resume whenever you are.
Can I cancel? Yes — cancel anytime from your account portal. No cancellation fees, no questions asked.
How do I manage my subscription? Log into your account at beancandlecompany.com and click Manage subscriptions. From there you can swap scents, skip, pause, update payment details, or cancel.
Do subscribers get free shipping? Yes — all subscription orders ship free, regardless of order size or location.
Orders & Shipping
Where do you ship? We ship across the United States. International shipping is not currently available.
How long does shipping take? Most orders ship within 2–3 business days and arrive within 5–7 business days depending on your location.
How much does shipping cost? Standard shipping depends on your location. Orders over $75 ship free. All subscription orders ship free.
Can I track my order? Yes — you'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it? We process orders quickly — if you need to make a change, email us at hello@beancandlecompany.com as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help before it ships.
Returns & Exchanges
What if my candle arrives damaged? Email us at hello@beancandlecompany.com with a photo and we'll make it right immediately — replacement or full refund, your choice.
Do you accept returns? Due to the nature of the product, we don't accept returns on opened and used candles. If you're unhappy with your order for any reason, email us — we'll find a way to make it right.
Visit Us
Do you have a store? Yes — come see us at 408 Beaver St, Sewickley, PA — a suburb of Pittsburgh. We're open Tuesday through Friday 10am–5pm, Thursday until 7pm, Saturday 10am–5pm, and Sunday 12–3pm. Monday we're closed.
Can I smell the candles before buying? Yes — and we'd expect nothing less. Come in and take your time.
Do you offer wholesale? Yes — Bean Candle Co is available for wholesale through Faire, or contact us directly at hello@beancandlecompany.com for custom orders and corporate gifting.
